The Campaign
Scotland’s National Hand Hygiene campaign was launched in January 2007 and is being delivered by Health Protection Scotland on behalf of the Scottish Government Health Directorate. This campaign is the first of its kind in the UK and its core aim is to improve hand hygiene and reduce avoidable illness.

Improving Hand Hygiene - the Challenges and Successes in Scotland

A short film has been produced by the Campaign Team that showcases the successes and challenges in improving hand hygiene in Scotland.
This film was produced to mark a hand hygiene global awareness day organised by the World Health organisation as part of their First Global Patient Safety Challenge.
