It’s hard to believe there are people who still don’t take the time to clean themselves. Many of us have been raised with the saying “cleanliness is next to godliness,” but for some people, it doesn’t seem to matter.

Here are reasons why hygiene matters and why you should be taking care of yourself:

Your Health

Your body needs a certain level of hygiene in order to stay healthy and not spread bacteria throughout your environment. Not only will you be healthier, but you’ll also have a decreased risk for illness and disease.

The Health of Others

By being cleaner, you’re less likely to spread illnesses like colds or the flu–and if someone has a severe illness or compromised immune system, they could become seriously ill due to your lack of hygiene.

Looking Good

Just because you don’t want someone else touching your body doesn’t mean they don’t want their hands near yours! It’s not attractive when someone has bad breath or dirty nails–even if they’re just an acquaintance.

And we know how important first impressions are these days. If you look good on the outside, chances are people will see you as more trustworthy on the inside too!
